One-On-One Training
One-on-one training includes a focus on Screening Calls, Preparation for Intensives, Structuring Intensives to Meet Client Needs.
Determining the appropriateness of an intensive for a particular couple. Identifying potential candidates and discerning when you need to decline and refer (and appropriate referral possibilities).
Polygraph
Training
Understanding how polygraph works. How to talk about polygraph with your clients, and training your polygraph examiner. Constructing questions for the polygraph exam.
When the client passes, what does this mean? What do you do if the client fails? How polygraph differs when used for Aftercare. You will participate in setting up a total of three polygraph exams.
Restoring Relationships
Learn how to get sex addicts to the proper mindset so that they are able to finally comprehend what they have done to their partner and set the stage for couples to be able to talk at a deeper level and experience intimacy that does not involve sex.
Learn to teach couples how to reestablish intimacy in multiple dimensions.
Disclosures Demystified
What is included and what is not? Detailed instructions on writing disclosures.
Participation in two disclosure preparation sessions, and participation in two clinical disclosures.
Partner Trauma Training
Identifying trauma triggers. Learning how to give more effective support to partners and equip sex addicts to embrace the healing of their partner.
Understanding the trauma of the partner. Learning things that facilitate the partner’s healing and that hinder the partner’s healing.
Business Information
Marketing: Learn how to fill your calendar with less marketing effort and expense. Fee structuring, Deposits, Bookkeeping, and email communication (Confirmation packet, Aftercare reminders, & Evaluations).
CHFP QUALIFICATIONS
Become a Certified Hope & Freedom Practitioner
1. Applicant must be emotionally mature.
2. Applicant must be a licensed therapist, Master’s level or better.
3. Applicant must have successfully completed sex addiction training in one of the following:
- Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT)
- SASH Advanced Training in Problematic Sexual Behavior (SPSB)
- Christian Sex Addiction Therapist (CCSAS) training, or have
- Demonstrated competency in treating sexual addiction
4. Three reference letters attesting to your clinical skills.
