How to Apply
Before applying to become a Certified Hope & Freedom Practitioner (CHFP), please review the following qualification requirements. We seek emotionally mature, licensed therapists who have specialized training in sex addiction treatment and The Intensive Method (a prerequisite to CHFP training).
The candidate pre-qualifications outline the essential education, training, and experience needed to join our network and provide the highest quality care to your clients.
Candidate Pre-Qualifications
- Applicants must be emotionally mature.
- Applicants must be a licensed therapist, Master’s level or better.
- Applicants must be trained or certified in The Intensive Method
- Applicants must have successfully completed sex addiction training in one of the following:
- Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT)
- SASH Advanced Training in Problematic Sexual Behavior (SPSB), or
- Demonstrated competency in treating sexual addiction as approved by the Executive Director. Examples may include:
- Christian Sex Addiction Therapist (CCSAS)
- APSAT
- Minwalla
- SASH - ATPSB
- Applicants must provide three reference letters attesting to your clinical skills.
CHFP Certification
Hope & Freedom Institute’s CHFP Certification requires the applicant to complete the following:
- The Intensive Method Online Course (can be completed prior to or during training and supervision)
- Two-Week Onsite Intensive Training (includes 2 3-Day Intensives, 2 Aftercares, and 1 Administrative Day)
